We’ve all heard of soup kitchens—but have you heard of pet pantries? By providing essential pet supplies like food, toys, leashes, and litter, Friends of Eden Animal Shelter aims to offer community pet support and animal assistance, helping to keep pets out of shelters and in the loving arms of their cash-strapped forever humans.
Many pet owners in the Eden and surrounding communities often face tough choices between their own needs and providing for their animals. To prevent these heart-wrenching dilemmas, Friends of Eden Animal Shelter is establishing a food pantry aimed at offering essential animal assistance. This initiative will ensure that our community pets receive the necessary pet supplies to stay full and happy.
As a rescue organization, the number of calls we receive daily can get overwhelming. We often hear, "I've lost my job and cannot afford to feed my pet," or "I've come into medical bills for myself and cannot afford to feed my pet(s)." We believe that our community pet support efforts, including our food pantry for pet supplies, are significant steps in the right direction. By focusing on animal assistance and helping those in need, we aim to keep dogs and cats out of the shelter through initiatives like those offered by Friends of Eden Animal Shelter.
Friends of Eden Animal Shelter is proud to announce the opening of the pet food and supply pantry in honor of Tippy Uden, the beloved remaining store cat of Raymond Uden. As you may recall, Raymond Uden generously donated his brick-and-mortar stores located on The Boulevard in Eden, which will now serve as the site for our new Coffee with Friends and Tippy & Friends Pet Food Pantry. We have initiated the collection of donations for dry dog and cat food, wet dog and cat food, cat litter, and other essential supplies such as blankets, leashes, and toys. Your contributions of pet food and supplies will significantly impact animal assistance efforts, making a crucial difference between a pet's chance to stay or go for thousands of animals each year, reinforcing our commitment to community pet support.

Food is donated by community members and partners.
